Determine whether you have a display name, username or numeric ID. Adding @ to an ordinary name does not turn it into a username. Use the identifier actually shown in the source.
Exact transcription
Check characters and remove unrelated text. Similar-looking usernames can identify different accounts; one typo changes the query. Consult the current bot hint for numeric ID syntax.
Associations need checking
The same username on another platform does not establish shared ownership. Distinguish a sourced association from an inference based on similar names. Consider each record’s date and context.
